The Company has a premium resource base. In addition, the Company has significant reserves of superior apatite-nepheline ore with very low levels of radioactivity and heavy metals content.
The Company's reserves and resources were measured as at 1 June 2011 according to the JORC Code and consisted of proven and probable reserves of 7,714 million tonnes and measured and indicated resources (including reserves) of 2.074 million tonnes. The Company's resource base will enable PhosAgro to continue production of high-grade phosphate rock at current production levels for 75 years. PhosAgro’s ore is rich in different compounds and includes 280 million tonnes of Al2O3 reserves (aluminium oxide), which represents the largest such reserves in Russia, and also the largest rare-earth metal deposits (41% of total Russian reserves (Source: G.P. Luzin Institute of Economic Problems. Kola Science Centre, Russian Academy of Sciences, 2010) and other useful elements such as titanium dioxide.
