Novosibirsk – PhosAgro announces the launch of a new regional company, PhosAgro-Sibir. The company is part of PhosAgro-Region, the largest* mineral fertilizer distribution network in Russia, and provides direct supplies of a wide range of mineral fertilizers to agricultural producers in the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts. PhosAgro-Sibir is headquartered in Novosibirsk (the Novosibirsk region).
“We continue to implement PhosAgro’s strategy to 2025, with the goal of expanding the Company’s position in the priority Russian market. Since the inception of the strategic initiative in 2019, the number of PhosAgro-Region distribution centres has grown from 26 to 29, and the total capacity of the warehouse infrastructure has approached 800,000 tonnes. We already launched direct work in the new territories of the Central Federal District and the Volga region, as well as opened new regional offices in the Urals and Siberia to meet the expanding needs of the regional agro-industrial complex for mineral fertilizers. I am confident that our customers in Russia will appreciate the positive effect of PhosAgro-Sibir entering the market in the coming months. In the long run, we expect the company to make a substantial contribution to the development of agro-industrial infrastructure across the entire region, from the Urals to the Pacific coast,” said PhosAgro CEO Andrey Guryev.
Demand for modern mineral fertilizers is growing in the regions of Siberia and the Far East. Since 2017, when PhosAgro-Region opened its first regional office beyond the Urals, the network has increased sales in these territories by 80%.
“Demand for complex fertilizers containing sulphur is growing dynamically, and recent agrometeorological conditions have demonstrated the need for the systematic use of liquid complex fertilizers to achieve consistent grain and oilseed yields. Until recently, the absence of adequate logistical infrastructure in these locations limited the increase in the usage of mineral fertilizers. As part of the development of PhosAgro-Sibir, we plan to establish several warehouse complexes that can ensure both the accumulation of the appropriate volume of granular and liquid mineral fertilizers for field work and enable us to quickly meet demand for fertilizers during the season,” said PhosAgro-Region General Director Andrey Vovk.
PhosAgro-Region's activities in the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts are constantly expanding. Regional offices in Krasnoyarsk, Barnaul, and Ussuriysk opened in 2017-2019, and a regional office in Novosibirsk was open in 2022. To date, they supply mineral fertilizers to over 600 agricultural enterprises in 18 regions and also develop and implement mineral nutrition systems for crops that take into account regional differences.
