Moscow – A delegation from PhosAgro led by the Company’s CEO and President of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers (RAPU) Andrey A. Guryev participated in the third Russian-British Business Forum in London.
The delegation also included the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vice-President of the Russian Chemists Union Andrey G. Guryev and PhosAgro’s Deputy CEO for Government Relations Valery Fedorov.
Andrey A. Guryev spoke at the gala reception of the Russian Trade Delegation to the UK to open the Forum and thanked the Embassy and the Russian Trade Delegation in the UK for their efforts to promote the interests of Russian business. The permanent dialogue between Russia and Great Britain has already borne fruit: “In 2017 trade turnover between the two countries has increased for the first time in three years: in the first half of this year bilateral trade grew by over 20% year-on-year.”
During his presentation at the panel session Key challenges and opportunities for development of cooperation with international business circles in various industries, Andrey A. Guryev spoke of the successful adoption of new technologies that help to increase efficiency and protect the environment. He said that the Company is constantly analysing ways to make PhosAgro’s safe and pure fertilizers more accessible to local farmers who grow food for British consumers. “PhosAgro’s annual sales to Great Britain range from 60 to 110 ths tonnes of fertilizers, and we see significant potential to increase those volumes,” remarked Andrey A. Guryev, the CEO of PhosAgro and President of RAPU.
